This 1995 BMW 850CSi is one of 225 examples built for the US market during a two-year production run, and it was listed on BaT in February 2019 before it was acquired by the current owner. Subsequent work included paintwork on the hood and bumper covers, installing staggered-width 18″ Style 37 M Parallel wheels, refurbishing the interior wood trim, and replacing the parking light housings. Powered by a 5.6-liter V12 linked to a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential, the car is finished in Cosmos Black Metallic over two-tone Light Silver Gray leather upholstery. Equipment consists of a power-operated sunroof, fog lights, a cassette stereo, a remote CD changer, dual-zone automatic climate control, power-adjustable front seats, and cruise control. This E31 has 110k miles and is now offered on dealer consignment with a set of removed spare wheels and tires, a tool kit, an owner’s manual, a binder of service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Oregon title.

The 850CSi featured revised front and rear valances as well as a lowered ride height compared to other E31 coupes, and this example is finished in Cosmos Black Metallic. The front bumper cover, the front grille sections, and assorted wiring harnesses are said to have been replaced under previous ownership, and work following the current owner’s acquisition included repainting the hood and bumper covers along with replacing parking light housings, according to the selling dealer. Close-up photos of paint imperfections and the exterior condition are viewable in the gallery below.

A set of 18″ Style 37 M Parallel wheels with polished lips was fitted under current ownership, and they are mounted with 245/40 front and 285/35 rear Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. The 850CSi features a sport-tuned suspension and revised steering ratios in comparison to other E31 models. Work performed in 2018 included replacing the rear upper control arms, front struts and rear shocks, power steering hoses, and the front brake pads, rotors, and wear sensors.

The heated and power-adjustable front seats were reupholstered in gray leather with contrasting inserts under previous ownership. Further work included repairs to the onboard computer display and repainting the trunk as well as replacing shift knob, sunroof cables, and upholstery on the headliner, A-pillars, sail panels, and rear parcel shelf. Additional appointments include dual-zone automatic climate control, a cassette stereo, a trunk-mounted CD changer, a mobile phone, driver position memory, and a power-adjustable steering column. There is a chip in the wood trim next to the onboard computer.

The wood veneer interior trim was removed and refurbished following the current owner’s acquisition. The digital odometer indicates 110k miles, approximately 1,100 of which were added under current ownership.

The 5.6-liter S70B56 V12 was factory rated at 372 horsepower and 402 lb-ft of torque. An oil change was performed in December 2024.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The driveshaft flex joint is said to have been replaced in 2018.

The removed set of spare wheels and tires will accompany the car.

The Carfax report shows no accidents or other reported damage.
